This website is meant to be a repository of published work and an easy enough portfolio to navigate. As I look over each piece on the site I experience a sense of frustration as I see all of the places I could have made them better. I am never satisfied in pursuit of perfection and strive always to write the best I am capable of writing every time I take on an assignment. 

I want this website to showcase the things I've done and things I love in life but at a certain point documenting all one does gets in the way of doing the things themselves. I will always favor the doing over the recording of deeds so at times this site may not be comprehensive.  

I am a writer before everything else but that's not enough on its own. I hope I am a few other things as well. I want to write books—both fiction and non-fiction—and I want to write screenplays, both original stories and adaptations of other stories. I want to write feature pieces for magazines, print and digital, on subjects and people who fascinate or compel me. I want to make movies, both cinematic stories and documentaries, and I want to direct movies.
